Experience the famous Phillip Island Penguin Parade on an evening of discovery. Depart Melbourne for Phillip Island, the popular coastal island famous for their diverse oceanic wildlife and beautiful coasts and beachfronts. Enjoy a scenic drive enroute to the charming town of Cowes, for a chance to enjoy a local meal (at your own expense) or to enjoy the coastal scenery. Next you can make your way to the Phillip Island Visitor Centre, where you will discover more about the hundreds of penguins which call Phillip Island home.
Enjoy a relaxed walk along the Penguin Parade boardwalks or visit the local souvenir shop or restaurant (any purchase is at own expense). Once you have taken your seat at Sunset, watch as several hundred penguins begin there walk onto the shore, to see this special and unique wildlife experience. After you finish exploring the Penguin Parade, you will make your way back to Melbourne.

This tour is an afternoon tour with a late return, as timing is dependent on the arrival of the Little Penguins after sunset.
Driving time from Melbourne CBD to Phillip Island approx. 2 – 2.5 hours (the outbound and inbound journey will cover different routes).
Meals are not included; you will however have time to purchase your own meal in Cowes.
Photography of the penguins is not permitted at any time, and we appreciate your support not doing this – rangers and staff on site monitor this.
Please bring really warm clothing for the penguin parade, which is outside, as it can get quite cold at this time of the year!
You will need to make your own way to the departure point for this excursion. Closer to the date of departure, we will notify you of the departure point which will be located in ‘central’ Melbourne.

PLEASE NOTE: We have been advised that the carpet is being replaced in the Mortlock Chamber (section of the library) and we are now unable to conduct tours through this section during July so we will amend the Private tour of the State Library slightly and now include access to the basement (old & rare artifacts storage) which is an area of the library usually inaccessible to the public.
Private 60 minute tour of State Library of South Australia | 30 July 2025 – 11:00am
Guests will have the opportunity to explore one of South Australia’s great institutions and take a look behind the shelves. An expert librarian will take you on a walk sharing stories of how the State Library began. Your experience starts at the historic Adelaide Circulating Library to learn the history of the building. By 1861, the collection of books held there was to became the first public library in South Australia. The Adelaide Circulating Library has been used in the past as a backdrop to several movies including Shine and Gallipoli. Continue your way to the basement to see some of the interesting old & rare artifacts housed in the library. Discover how the state’s most important treasures are maintained in the state-of-the-art storage and how the preservations team cares for the collection.
